Our women's cell works to ensure a safe and harmonious work environment in the NIPR campus. To ensure safety and security to the girls and women under NIPR campus, a cell has been constituted for redressal of grievances. The primary focus of cell is to provide a mechanism for looking into situations of sexual harassment in the NIPR. The women cell stays watchful all the time to prevent any kind of abuse towards the female staff, students and workers. If the staff, students or workers face any harassment from any co working staff or workers, then they can complain at NIPR's women cell.

Objectives

  • To safeguard the rights, issues and concerns of female students, faculty and staff members in the institute.
  • To incorporate hygiene habits and ensure a healthy atmosphere in and around the campus premises.
  • To prevent sexual harassment and to promote general well-being of female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of NIPR.
  • To assert the importance of spiritual, economic, social, racial and gender equality.

The complaints, related to sexual harassment at workplace, can be made to the committee by female employees of NIPR in the following manner:

  • The female employee can make a complaint, in writing, to the local committee within a period of 3 months from the date of the incident.
  • The complainant should clearly write down her identity, i.e, name, course, department and office premises, to ensure fast and fruitful results and to solve the problems in a positive way.
  • The committee is giving complete assurance to the employees that these details will be kept strictly confidential and will not be discussed outside, by any of the members of the committee.
  • The committee also ensures to take action as per Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
